Happy 21st birthday to this guy.
I first met Christian in my junior year of college, when I was Akbayan’s Internship Coordinator. He just randomly showed up at one of my meetings and indicated his interest in being an intern.
In my mind, I was like … “Uhhhh… what the hell? Who are you? Hella random. Sure, sit down.”
That moment right there was probably one of the best instances in Akbayan history.
Right from the getgo, Christian showed that he was a communicator. He got along with the interns almost instantaneously. Sure, he was shy at first, but everybody is.
Somebody very approachable and easy to talk to. That’s the way you can most easily describe Christian. He did an admirable job the following year as Akbayan’s Secretary for A Tribe Called Cab, and he had a strong year as the Cultural Chair for The 35th Cabinet.
While he wasn’t elected President when going against Arlo Trinidad, Christian is now taking the position of PCN Coordinator, and he will be the executive director of Akbayan’s 25th Annual Pilipino Cultural Night.
He will do a great job. But first, let’s celebrate.
Happy 21st birthday you cheery son of a gun.
Thank you Big Daddy D! Thank you for everything you’ve done for me in the last couple years! I appreciate it a lot! I love you, man!
Gotta love Big Ghost. Word is bond, yo.
“In your life, there will be moments when you will doubt yourself, make mistakes or do something wrong. What you must remember at this time is to seek the truth, seek wisdom from God, and seek wisdom from people you trust. Always be aware of yourself, and the reasons for your actions.”
